BF6 PS5 Pro – Temporal reconstruction blur in Performance Mode (PSSR feedback)

Hi, I’m playing Battlefield 6 on PS5 Pro using a high resolution 120Hz monitor and wanted to give some feedback on image clarity in Performance Mode.

Overall the game runs really well — performance is stable, input feel is great, and the frame rate is solid. But visually, I’m noticing that the image can look quite soft in motion, especially when turning quickly or moving through areas with lots of foliage, smoke, or fine detail.

In static shots the image looks clean, but once there’s movement, things start to lose detail and look a bit “smudged” or smeared. It feels like a combination of temporal reconstruction and the upscaling pipeline (PSSR on PS5 Pro plus the game’s TAA/motion handling).

I’ve tried adjusting sharpening, and while higher sharpening helps bring back some clarity, it can also introduce a bit of noise or harsh edges, and doesn’t fully solve the softness in motion.

It’s not a performance issue at all — more just a clarity/motion reconstruction issue that becomes noticeable on high refresh displays, especially when there’s a lot of fast camera movement and on-screen action.

If there’s any chance of improving the temporal stability or PSSR integration in a future update (or tuning the motion reconstruction / sharpening response), I think it would make a big difference to overall image clarity in Performance Mode.

Everything else feels really solid — this is just feedback from actually playing the game.

Thanks for the work on the game.
