Bizarre crash that requires a PC restart after?

So to start: this isnt the first game ive run into this issue with (MH WILDS being the other) But so far this has happened three times. While playing the game will stutter freeze, audio and frames both, do this a handful of times before the game simply crashes to desktop with no error, or anything.

Restart steam, try to launch game: Anticheat detects corrupted files -> Verify files, instantly it detects and replaces 0 files, whatever that means.

Launch again: Anticheat detects corrupted files -> 240 files reacquired, anti cheat still flagging corrupted files.

That last step just repeats until I restart my pc, where the game runs just fine afterwards like nothing happened. I really want to find a fix for this, as its very inconvenient in both games where ive had it happen, if anyone has run into this before.

  • KittyAndChipz I wonder if the storage drive is corrupting files? Do you have another storage drive you can try installing BF6 and EA Anticheat on?

Thats my current plan, though I find it odd that it only happens on these two specific games? and how it just works fine if I restart. I will come back if it happens again on my other ssd
