Gameplay Enhancement Ban – False Positive? OBS/Overlays Issue

Hey everyone, i just got flagged for “Gameplay Enhancement” in Battlefield 6, and I want to share my full experience to see if others had the same issue and maybe figure out what triggers it.

Here’s what happened on my side: Background & PC Setup: i recently experienced repeated crashes and instability with BF6 and the EA App.To fix this, I performed a full Windows reinstall. Installed NVIDIA drivers using NVCleanInstall, debloating unnecessary components. During setup, I accidentally left the anti-cheat compatibility option unchecked.

I restarted my PC multiple times (around 3–5 restarts) to ensure everything installed correctly.

During this period, I also experienced a few blue screens of death (BSODs) unrelated to BF6, mostly while troubleshooting the EA App.

The Day of the Ban (October 19, 2025):

16:10 UTC: Launched EA App and BF6 after system setup.

16:12 UTC: Opened BF6 main menu to check settings.

16:15 UTC: Opened OBS Studio for the first-time setup, briefly running in the background to check capture settings (no recordings made). BF6 mostly closed or at the main menu.

16:18 UTC: Closed OBS and prepared to enter a match.

Programs running in the background: Discord, NVIDIA Overlay / GeForce Experience, Windows Game Bar / NVIDIA ShadowPlay, Steam, GameNer.

16:20 UTC: Entered a match; within ~10 seconds got “Error Connecting to Servers”. Restarted BF6.

After logging back in, I noticed I had been flagged for Gameplay Enhancement.

Gameplay & Stats: Played about 20/15 matches before the flag. My K/D was ~1.2. No cheats, hacks, scripts, or exploits were used at any time, memmber since 2019,

Why this might be a false positive: Kernel-level anti-cheat (Javelin) may detect memory hooks or overlays as “gameplay enhancement.”

Legitimate software like OBS, overlays, and Game Bar could trigger the flag, especially after fresh Windows install or driver changes.

My PC had multiple restarts, driver tweaks, and overlays running simultaneously, which may have looked suspicious to the anti-cheat.

The ban happened immediately after login, not during active gameplay.

Evidence I have: Clips showing BF6 main menu while OBS was briefly running. Clips of gameplay after OBS was closed. DXDiag, Tasklist, and system information (msinfo32).

Screenshot of the Gameplay Enhancement flag. Question to the community: Did anyone else get banned shortly after level-ups, fresh installs, or while using OBS/overlays? Did your ban get reversed? How long did EA take to respond?

i’m hoping sharing all this can help other players who got the same false positive. If anyone has tips for clearing overlays safely or confirming a false positive with EA, that’d be great to hear. Thanks!

Same here, got banned after 3 games. Don't know why made an appeal, did not get a response yet. Some people say that they got a response after 10 days and got rejected with no information on what was detected.
