Constantly being sent back to main menu upon matchmaking

whenever i attempt to matchmake, it puts me on a black screen with "battlefield" logo, and then puts me back to main menu. Retrying, restarting game, restarting computer, restarting internet does nothing. I have to close game and retry countless times before it finally works. A lot of people are having the same issue as i have seen on reddit, and nothing seems to fix it, nor has there been any acknowledgement of this issue. At times i am completely unable to play the game i paid for.
