PC freezing after 10min off playing BF6 since update today 16.4.2026
Yesterday all was fine and I could play BF6 without any issue. Since today, it doesn't matter what I configure, after about 10min off playing freeze. Only hard reset of the PC let it start again. Here the crash dump attached. Chat GPT said its an issue from the Battlefield update today. ExceptionCode: c0000005 (Access violation) Attempt to write to address 0000000000000024 rax=0000000000000000 inc dword ptr [rax+24h] Anyone else got this issue?
The computer freezes completely and I have to reboot.
Hello, I've been struggling with this problem for six months now. It manifests itself strangely: you can play for a couple hours and everything will be fine, but then it crashes the 6th or 7th game because of it. It freezes so completely that I have to reboot the computer with the button. Sometimes resetting the secure boot keys helps, but not always. What's interesting is that before the freeze, the FPS can drop from 120 to 50-40 for a few seconds, followed by the game crashing. During the freeze, the Windows log shows an error message saying "You need to update your secure boot keys/CA," but updating them doesn't solve the problem. Also, if I wait a few seconds during a freeze, I get a BSOD with the stop code "DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION." OC: Windows 10 22H2 MB: Gigabyte X870E elite wifi 7 Processor: Ryzen 9800X3D (No overclocking) Graphic Card: RTX 5090 (Undervolted, Driver 591.86) Memory: Corsair Vengeance 2x32 6000MHz The game is installed on an SSD, which passes all integrity checks. P.S. Undervolting the video card didn't affect this issue; I tested it with the stock card and it didn't help. Moreover, these issues don't occur in more demanding games like CB2077, Wukong, RE9, etc.Can't launch BF6 After UPDATE 1.2.3.0
Todays BF6 update on 14th April 2026, is crashing on the EA anticheat launch The game worked fine this morning before the update, tried repairing EA anticheat, and repairing BF6, updating GPU drivers, bios update etc, nothing works I'm using the EA app (not Steam) incase that is the problem Event viewer shows errors with a source of EA Javelin Anticheat when I try and launch BF6, with the details showing an error of "The game bf6.exe exited unexpectedly, exit code: 0xC0000604" I could play earlier this morning before the update, now it just crashes
BF6 – Crash on Startup (bf6.exe 0xc0000604)
Hello, I cannot launch Battlefield 6 on my PC. Every attempt results in a crash at the splash screen before the game boots, with this error: "bf6.exe – Application Error The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000604)" I spent 5 hours straight troubleshooting this issue and documented every step below. Steps I Have Already Tried (Comprehensive): Secure Boot / BIOS Confirmed BIOS is updated (MSI Z490 Gaming Edge WiFi, BIOS 07/12/2024). Checked Secure Boot: enabled, Standard mode, factory keys intact. Confirmed via PowerShell Confirm-SecureBootUEFI = True. Tested game with Secure Boot on and off → both fail (off gives error, on still crashes). AntiCheat (EAAC) Verified EA AntiCheat installation in game folder. Ran EA Javelin AntiCheat installer (Uninstall, Repair, Update, Reinstall). Manually deleted EAAC service with sc delete EAAntiCheatService. Reinstalled via Javelin installer (service created at C:\Program Files\EA\AC\eaanticheat.gameservice.exe). Checked digital signatures (EA signed, SHA256 valid). Tried manually starting service with sc start EAAntiCheatService → service hangs in “Start Pending” or gives Error 87: The parameter is incorrect. When game is launched, service eventually switches to “Running” but bf6.exe immediately crashes with 0xc0000604. System Integrity / OS Checks Ran sfc /scannow → repaired minor corrupt files. Ran DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth → completed successfully. Performed a Windows 11 “Keep my files” reinstall (fresh system files, kept personal data). After reinstall, redid all steps above → same crash. Game Reinstalls Installed Battlefield 6 through Steam → crash. Verified Steam files multiple times → no change. Uninstalled from Steam, purchased + reinstalled through EA App directly → crash persists. Both installs confirmed all files downloaded (75GB+). Exploit Protection Settings Adjusted via Windows Security > App & browser control > Exploit Protection. Added bf6.exe, disabled Control Flow Guard, DEP, SEHOP, etc. → no effect. Matchmaking breaks every other match when on same network
Me and my fiance have paid £130 for 2 copies of the game, Im PC Steam she is Xbox series X, just for matchmaking to break every other game. Either it loads just one of us into a game or neither of us and we need to completely restart the game. Had this exact same issue in battlefield 2042 and the BF6 Beta. Genuinely thought this would have been fixed by now.... This is game breaking as it destroys any immersion/flow.
BF6 Error 115 "The latest version of EA Anticheat"
Played BF6 for 40 hours, and now since yesterday, i've been getting: "The latest version of EA Javelin Anticheat is required to play." -I've followed to prompts and: -updated the Anticheat -repaired the anticheat -uninstalled and reinstalled the anticheat -updated my bios drivers and windows updates -uninstalled and reinstalled the game I havent made any major changes to my system or anything, software, hardware, or otherwise. Attached is the Error 115, and the EA Javelin stating that it is up to date. I'm not sure how to fix this, since it seems the EA Anticheat continuously updates BF6 to the wrong version, and continuously triggers error 115. i just bought battlefield 6 as ive allways liked battlefield and finally got myself a pc and the time to play it but every time i try to play, my game runs perfectly fine for about 10 minutes and then it just crashes and gives me the issue stated in the title and below. its not thermal throtelling so im really stumpted on why this is happening. written bellow is all the information about the issue and all the things ive done to try and aliviate the issue. if anyone could help me so i could play that would be great!
