CPU bottlenececk causing low fps on high end machine

I'm playing with an RTX 5070 TI and AMD ryzen 9 7950X, but get bottenecked severely by CPU. It also drops over time: when I start playing I hit around 90 fps CPU (already much lower than expected), and after 1-2 matches it's at 30 fps and stays there. My GPU FPS is consistently around 200. I've tried every setting in game, tried turning on/off overlays from EA, steam, discord etc, tried setting a custom user.cfg while, but nothing works. Other games run perfectly so I think this is a software issue. Anyone encountered this and have a solution? It's making the game unplayable.

  • I've finally found a fix that worked for me. I had to downgrade my Nvidia drivers to 577.00. After this I've been hitting 200 fps on both GPU and CPU without a drop over time. Hopefully this is helpful for others as well.

  • Same exact issue for me, more than likely we’ll have to wait for a patch. I’ve seen quite a few people on here and Reddit complaining about the same thing. If it’s anything like 2042 first major patch to address thing like this is 2 weeks after launch :/
