Does EA have any intention at all to fix the Timed Out mid gameplay issue?

The AFK detection is still brutal with no sign of a fix on the horizon. This is a textbook example of the cure being worse than the disease. Will EA ever do the community a solid and either fix or entirely remove it's broken AFK detection?
