OMFG, you and your asinine assumptions are exactly why you cannot resolve the issue, you simpleton. No need to lash out at me because you are unable to get your windows working properly. I am just trying to help out people on here, you certainly won't get this help from EA, their technical support is terrible.
You go on about People trying this and that, you fail to understand there are multiple things that can cause this DXGI crash so other people's efforts are specific to their situation. Have YOU actually tried a clean install of Windows? Or you just flapping your gums?
I also went through the buying new hardware (replaced GPU and RAM) and blaming EA dance until I tried a clean windows install and the game then ran ok, pointing to a software setting and not hardware. I then went back through my original windows to find the software setting causing the issue.
The simple facts are...
- I offered the solution that resolved MY issue, never said it was a cure all.
- I highlighted a setting that MUST be ON or you will never resolve the issue.
- I used to have this very issue and could not play BF2042 nor BF6 as they would both give the DXGI error.
- Now the game is running fine on my PC with high CPU, GPU and RAM clock rates at 4k.
- I can play for as long as I want without a crash, in fact I have not had that crash since I resolved the issue.
- I have over 1,000 hours of play time in BF6 and BF2042 and have 100% resolved my DXGI issue.
This whole DXGI issue 100% a windows issue. For some people it will be a software issue, for some it will be hardware and for others it will be a combination of both.
No skin off my nose if you do or do not try/listen to my suggestions, fact still remains my setup is working and yours isn't. Good luck with the refund.
Again, its not a windows issue. It might have been for you, but its not for a lot of us. Thanks for your input.

No worries, all I was trying to do was lend some insight and info on MY issue and the solve.
I would wager that there are probably more than a dozen different settings that could cause a DXGI crash and some people may have more than one contributing issue.
Have you tried a clean install of windows on a different partition/drive with only video and basic drivers installed and then run the game? This is what I ended up doing to find my issue, I removed the clean install of windows after I resolved the issue.
