EA account login

I have been playing BF6 with no issue. It is now saying it has sent a confirmation email to my brother's old EA account (we shared the xbox account long ago), and is not letting me plat the game until I confirm. I did not know that I had an EA account linked to my xbox account, or that I needed one to play. Neither me or my brother have access to this account or the email account any more. Can I unlink my xbox account from the EA account and link it to a new one? I don't want to lose my progress in BF6 or other EA games, but I assume this wouldn't be an issue. I would try to email EA or use a chatbot but they seem to have removed those features or made them impossible to find.

I just want to play the game I've payed 70 quid for it shouldn't be this difficult.

Hi there. Unfortunately, linking your gamertag to another EA account means you lose all content and progress for EA games. All that information is saved on the original account. Try opening a case with an advisor. If you can verify you own the account, they should be able to update the email on it. Cases can be opened by using the 'Contact us' button at the bottom of this page.

I have tried this. It just sends me to a page with a bunch of self-serve support links and no ability to 'open a case'. It says at the top I can contact an EA advisor but does not provide me an option or link to do so.

  • Dude I finally figured it out and I’m trying to respond to everyone that’s having this problem because I was ready to delete my saved data and start over. I went to EA .com and hit forgot password and after it should say email or EA ID, I’d say if you don’t know your EA id off the top of your head get a buddy or another account to see what you named yourself on battlefield and after you put your EA ID in it should say change email on recognized device and mine was my ps5. Make sure bf6 is already closed on whatever console. Open bf6 back up and it should tell you to now change your email on your console and not send a verification code to an old **bleep** email address. I suggest adding your number as well to your account to make sure you can always back it up. I hope it works for you guys like it did for me, add me on bf6 if it works

Thanks, I'm trying to get this to work but it keeps coming up with the email confirmation message. I'll keep at it for now

When you click continue of recognised device and you go to the page where it says your recognised devices, do you have to press anything else? It doesn't seem to be working for me

    Try these steps:

    1. Click on the 'Contact us' button
    2. For the "What kind of issue are you having?" field, type "update EA account.
    3. Select "Update EA Account" from the drop down list
    4. Fill out the remaining fields
    5. Hit the submit button
    6. Click on the Chat button

That should get a case open with an advisor.
