Friends are refunding on ea app and playing on steam

Is this what we have to do to play it? I have freinds who refunded on ea play, bought it on steam, downloaded and installed and now playing without issues. While i still sit unable to play on ea app....

i finally submitted my refund. just bought it off steam. installing off steam now.
