Game causes complete crash, red cpu light on mobo turned on briefly.

I am able to play for an hour tops before the game crashes and I get a black screen with a message stating there is a problem with my computer and it needs to restart. Other times I get the blue screen of death with message indicating that my computer is broken and it can't find a solution. It blows my mind that I paid $70+ for this game and I have to deal with this kind of stuff. I'm relived to know I am not the only one but geez.. Is there a fix to this? At this point I'm hesitant to even try to install again in fear that this game might fry my cpu. I'm truly bummed I can't play any longer. Do I really have to get an Xbox just to play bf6???
