BF6/Redsec Being Router via US instead of Asia/Singapore

Hi Team,
I’m from Pune, India, and facing severe rubber-banding and lag in Battlefield 6 and RedSec despite a stable 100 Mbps Airtel Fiber connection. I had purchased BF6 on launch but immediately refunded due to all the issues mentioned below. Now facing same issues with Redsec modes.

✅ Tried multiple DNS (1.1.1.1 / 8.8.8.8), flushed DNS, restarted router & PC
✅ Tested MTU 1472, no packet loss in other games
✅ Tried Singapore VPN (WTFast) — same issue
❌ Still get orange network icon and desync issues

Traceroute (tracert easo.ea.com) shows routing via Paris → U.S. (Zayo backbone) even on VPN, averaging 240 ms, instead of Singapore.
Yet the in-game ping shows 50–90, suggesting the match server is in Asia but backend (auth/telemetry) traffic goes through the U.S., likely causing the lag.

Here is the second half of the tracert result:

  6   131 ms     *        *     if-bundle-45-2.qcore1.mlv-mumbai.as6453.net [116.0.84.5]
  7     *        *        *     Request timed out.
  8     *        *        *     Request timed out.
  9     *        *      129 ms  if-bundle-22-2.qcore1.pvu-paris.as6453.net [80.231.154.199]
 10   248 ms     *        *     ae20.cr1.iad21.us.zip.zayo.com [64.125.23.217]
 11   244 ms   238 ms   238 ms  ae7.er1.iad21.us.zip.zayo.com [64.125.22.55]
 12   241 ms   258 ms   243 ms  216.119.6.30.IPYX-276823-900-ZYO.zip.zayo.com [216.119.6.30]
 13   239 ms   241 ms   236 ms  ssx.gos.ea.com [159.153.71.17]

Question: Could you please suggest what I can do to fix this? There’s a large player base in India, so I’m hoping there’s already a known fix or recommended workaround for this problem.

Thank you.

OskooI_007  i did the traceroute from Ping Plotter and below are the results.

    Target Name: ec2-18-99-54-8.ap-southeast-1.compute.amazonaws.com
    IP: 18.99.54.8
    Date/Time: 03-11-2025 11.08.50 AM - 03-11-2025 11.18.50 AM

it seems to be connecting to correct server & average ping also matches with the ping shown during the game. but then why rubber banding & lag issues with orange symbols showing on top left of the screen while playing the game?
as mentioned in my initial post, could it be that game servers it is connecting to is Asia/Singapore but it is the authentication or some other background services are connecting to distant servers which is causing frequent issue?

My system - updated drivers,  rtx 4060 with Ryzen 5 2600x, 24gb ram & game installed on ssd.
    Please advise. thanks

ChaiSuttaa the traceroute to BF6 Amazon game server looks good. I don't see any packet loss or high ping times.

I looked up the location of the BF6 Amazon game server IP address. It's located in Singapore.

I suspect you may be having CPU performance issues which are causing network lag. If the framerate of the game drops below 60fps on Official BF6 servers it will cause network lag.

24GB of memory is a non-standard amount of RAM and some of the memory is running in single channel mode, instead of dual channel mode.

Please post a screenshot of BF6 gameplay with the network performance graph and FPS Performance Overlay on-screen.

Also download HWiNFO and post a screenshot of your System Summary.

OskooI_007 i think you might be right about the CPU issue. I didn't even realized my cpu was getting that old since all the other games are running great at low-med settings with 60+ fps. i guess its time to upgrade my CPU.
Also, I tried closing all the unnecessary background processes and also ran the game in a smaller window. somehow that seem to have almost fixed the issue. we can close this discussion for now. Thanks for your help.
