We’ve also seen this being discussed on the Steam forum. One player shared that repeatedly trying to reconnect eventually got them back into the game. If you’re willing, could you give that a try? Before that, it may also be worth verifying the game files first.
Same issue on PC.
I just encountered this exact same problem on the Xbox Series X version. Hopefully it's a known issue and they'll have it resolved soon. 🤞
