Game crashing, forcing reboot of computer after about 20-30 minutes of gameplay
For the last couple weeks, ever since the operation was released, I have been unable to play the game for more than about 20 minutes without it black screening, and forcing my computer to restart. No error code is produced. The closest thing to it is "Successful application reconfiguration" in reliability monitor, with the source being "Microsoft Gameinput."
Fixes I've tried:
- verifying game files on steam (twice)
- reinstalling the game
- updating graphics card drivers
- renaming the "Microsoft Gameinput" folder, as suggested in a reddit post reporting similar issues
- lowering graphics settings
- freeing up hard drive space
I'm really frustrated by this, as it makes the game essentially unplayable. Has anyone encountered a similar issue and know of a fix?
