hip fire missing 2 feet from the barrel?

1st off i can't believe ya'll are paid top dollar to make these games sometimes but don't know what in the hell you're doing making it make no sense, like, you really get paid to make it not make sense. 

How is a gun made for hip fire missing the enemy in front of me that's 2 feet from my barrel, like, my gun is circling around them hitting absolute air, laser on their forehead or chest, and at 2 feet away, i'm hitting air...my gun is built to hipfire, i'm hitting air, 2 feet from my barrel, i'm hitting air...i'm repeating myself because that makes no sense, does it make sense that i'm repeating myself because it makes no sense?

Make it make sense!? Because the enemy player that is 2 feet from my barrel of a gun that is specialized to hipfire is missing the target right in front of my **bleep** barrel!
