Invisible players

There are several instances I was killed by an invisible player.  The first time I thought it was my imagination, but now I see them appear and kill me instantly.   Was it just a random Spawn? Nope.  They appear in ambush positions already aiming at me.  
I have hundreds of hours in Battlefield and have never seen this happen before.  Is it something to do with Nvidia drivers? I don’t know for certain.  
I see a new trend in hiding behind deployable barriers to hide from thermal sights, but that is just good gameplay.  The places that the players appear are well chosen.  I also could find no evidence that it was a spawn beacon.  YMMV
