Since yesterday I have been trying to understand why my game is so laggy due to high latency and packet loss. I had absolutely no problem during open BETA, game ran flawlessly. Now I cant engage any close quarter combat/map bcs it's literally unplayable, people are teleporting all around me, i cant move around or aim smoothly, everythingfeels like ♥♥♥♥. I read that more people are facing the same problem so if anyone has found out what's wrong pls let me know. Thanks in advance!
Has EA or anyone ackowledged this as it's making the game unplayable especially when in beta there were 0 issues and it's honestly making me to not even want to try play as you literally can't do anything or enjoy it.
Now I tried playing on community servers were I can select my region. That fixed everything for me. Now I'm playing on smooth60FPS. But still have to use FrameGen 2x to not get into CPU bottlenecks
DrHolloway4 thanks for the screenshot. The 3 yellow rectangles in the top left corner of the screen indicate the frame rate is below 60 frames per second.
Client frame time (CFT) is 20ms which means the PC's framerate is 50fps.
1,000ms ÷ 20ms = 50fps
There's 1,000ms in one second. The PC is outputting a new frame every 20ms
Most likely the CPU is hitting 100% usage on one of the cores. Here's some troubleshooting steps to verify if this is indeed what's happening.
To check if there are any CPU cores hitting 100% usage, open the Windows Task Manager CPU graph.
Run the game in windowed mode (alt + enter)
Open Task Manager (alt + ctrl + del)
Open the Performance tab, then right-click on the CPU graph and choose "Change graph to > Logical processors".
Set Task Manager to 'always on top' by clicking option
Now you can play the game and monitor per core CPU usage. If any CPU core hits 100% usage the game will stutter and cause network lag.
Battlefield 6 is designed to run at 60fps or higher. If the fps drops below 60 then time nudge (TN) will spike up high.
The next step is figuring out what's causing the CPU to max out.
If the CPU is above recommended system requirements but still has CPU cores hitting 100% usage.
Then possible reasons include:
CPU frequency downclocking due to the CPU or motherboard voltage regulator module (VRM) overheating.
RAM in single channel mode, instead of dual channel mode.
Monitor CPU frequency in Windows Task Manager to see if it downclocks. For example going from 4GHz down to 3Ghz.
Download HWiNFO to see if the CPU or VRM is overheating and causing the CPU frequency to downclock.
The CPU shouldn't be above 80°C and the VRM shouldn't be above 90°C.
Playing on community servers in my region alleviated a lot of my issues too. The game became playable, seems like a server issue on the main playlist. I wonder why we are specifically having the issue seems like some are fine and others are not.
I managed it, clean install of windows and a clean install of BF6. Activated XMP in bios. And now I'm finally staying on European servers. Not ideal, but it's done now
Buddy of mine had this issue for a LONG time, solution was to disable onboard graphics for some reason BF6 wants to force the use of it no matter what you do. so if you’re processor has onboard graphics navigate to device manager and disable the onboard graphics!
Same old story. It was 50-100 ms in the beta, but in a squad it was +200 ms. In other bfs (1, 5, 2042), it's hovering around 75 ms. In 2042, it's also sometimes +200 ms in a squad, but around 75 ms solo. Friends of mine from the same city, but on different operators, have 50-100 ms in all bfs, both in a squad and solo. Apparently, the network backbones are making a very long detour to the servers.
I am having the same issues , i have a good stable internet connection and never face any lag and fluctuating ping in battlefield 2042 and the beta test
