Matchmaking

1) What is the deal with matchmaking? Why is it when I am hosting a party that everyone has the option to completely **bleep** off and not join the game? This causes me and my friends to waste so much god **bleep** time backing out of lobbies because apparently being in a party means absolutely nothing in battlefield.

2) Also What the actual **bleep** is going on with cross platform parties? My friend who is on xbox does not make it into the lobby every other game when partied up with myself and others on PC. Another huge time waster, these 2 issues make this game not fun to play.
