Solved

PS5 - Unable to connect to the EA servers.

I was in a community created lobby playing breakthrough, suddenly I got kicked out of the game and had to sign back in and all that. So I restarded my PS5 several times now and everytime I boot the game up I’m getting a connection failed message with the following error code:

1:86001S:66003S:4688822970:0B

How do I fix this? My network is connected, I’m signed into PSN, everything is working, no VPN no network modifications or whatever, I was playing just fine and now I can’t play. It has been going on for over 30 minutes now.

Pls help

I fixed it. Took me a good hour to figure it out but I knew something didn't add up. I somehow was appearing offline on PSN even though I never do that, so I tested my network. Every single time my NAT configuration would fail so I thought hmm, that might be it.

Seems that my ISP changed my IP from dynamic to a CGNAT one, which means my already set up UPnP settings and forwarded ports didn't work anymore, so here's what I would suggest you do too:

Login to your routers portal from your ISP on your PC or laptop.
Enable UPnP and/or DNLA if your ISP has set your dynamic IPv4 to a CGNAT one.
I'd also suggest forwarding the following ports in the port forwarding settings. In my case I can forward ports for specific devices so make sure you choose your PC or your consoles IP address if you have this option.

    WAN portLAN portProtocol
    80~8080~80TCP
    443~443443~443TCP
    3478~34803478~3480TCP
    3478~34793478~3479UDP
    49152~6553549152~65535UDP
    1935~19351935~1935TCP
    3074~30743074~3074UDP
    3659~36593659~3659UDP

Ur lucky ur just getting this problem now. Others like me have had it since launch and haven't played a single full game. More and more ppl are getting hit by this daily

  • On my PS5, I can connect with zero issues. My son receives the same error right after the opening title sequence. I have exhausted the troubleshooting lists. Disappointing no solution yet because he can’t play at all on his account but mine good to go on the same console.

This is unfortunately the exact same issue for me. I've tried just about everything and anything I can think of and my son is unable to play. EA support is an absolute no show to any of my requests sent in as well.
