PS5 Connecting to online services

Intermittently unable to login, stuck on connecting to online services on PS5. Frequent latency variation alerts while playing. 

System PS5

Connection wifi 5GHz only

Placement of router is about 2m away from console, no walls, direct line of sight

Broadband virgin media ireland

Primary DNS set to 1.1.1.1

Secondary DNS set to 1.0.0.1

Troubleshooting: restarting game, console or router sometimes fixes it

This does not seem as intended. I have no issues with other games or apps.

Waking PS5 from sleep sometimes causes this issue and I'll be marked as imember in a leaderless group that I cannot leave, have to restart app again to make it work. 

I'll test wired once I get my cable, however this is a major inconvenience and shouldn't happen. 

Any insights and help are greatly appreciated.
