The VRR range on the PS5 is 48-120fps. Anything below 48fps will turn VRR off and anything above 120fps will also turn VRR off.
I provided feedback to DICE for an in-game graphics option to limit the framerate to a user specified value. For example the ability to limit the framerate to 80fps or 120fps.
This would prevent the framerate going over 120fps and provide smoother frametimes.

So the problem is that the framerate is actually going above 120fps?

Yes, the fps appears to be going above 120fps since Vsync is disabled. Usually Vsync will prevent the fps going above 120fps, but it's disabled.

Exact same issue here, I’m on ps5 pro with the LG G4, have you found a fix? The stutters and quite annoying

I don’t think there is anything we can do to fix it. The only way to stop the stuttering is to play in the 60fps mode. I don’t even know if the developers are aware of this issue.

Any updates to this? Seems like a win win for everybody would be to just increase the variable resolution range so we never hit 120. Or just an FPS cap but either way I still saw tearing even after this big update that fixed bloom and the drone exploit. Is this even on their radar?

It’s not mentioned on the known issues list. I have no idea if they are aware of it not even digital foundry mentioned it in their tech review.
