Re: Battlefield 6 connects to Chile servers instead of U.S. East

Breakfest_Bob there's a little bit of jitter in the test result. It seems like if no one else in your home is using the internet then jitter will be low.

Do you have a PC you can run a traceroute on? Preferably a PC with a wired ethernet connection?

Im currently at work still tied up for another 6ish hours, I only have wifi at the moment as running a wired connection isnt exactly an option cause the landlord is very particular about drilling holes in any surface and I just know they also wouldn't like conduit on the walls so im stuck with wifi for the time being. Its just strange cause theres multiple tvs phones and computers hooked up to the home network and anytime in the past 6 months ive gamed or downloaded anything with the exception of a few instances everything has been smooth and operational. We pay for 1 gig of service from spectrum and on a good day where my computer is situated it peaks around 500mbs for download speeds. I have entertained the idea of wifi extenders or a mesh network to try and boost the signal to see if that helps but kinda put that idea on the back burner cause prior to BF6 ive been able to play just fine while other people in the house have simultaneously been using the television, phones, etc... Im considering getting one of the two options again since bf6 has been borderline unplayable for 2 weeks now. Ill see about running a traceroute after work ill have to look up how to do that first cause idk what that even is. Ill update sometime tonight.

Breakfest_Bob to run a traceroute, download PingPlotter and type google.com as the traceroute address.

    https://www.pingplotter.com/download/

In the traceroute list, hop 1 is your home router and the last hop is google.com server. All the hops in between shows the connection path through the internet.

Pay special attention to hop 1 and see if the ping time is fluctuating a lot since that's your home router. Also check all the other hops for packet loss and ping fluctuations.
