Re: BF6 crashing and causing PC to restart

System Specs:
AMD Ryzen 7 5800x
Nvidia RTX 3080 10GB LHR (Nvidia Driver 581.42)
2x16GB Corsair Vengeance DDR4-3600 CL18
Installed 2TB Samsung 990 Pro

As the title states, the game will crash and restarts my PC as a result. This issue has also been occurring in the Open Beta. The game was bought through Steam from the start, and the Steam account is linked with my EA account. There did happen to be 2 occurrences where the game crashed and did not restart my PC, in which case I was able to get a crashdump file from it. Using !analyze in the Windows Debugging tool, I was able to get a 0xc0000005 INVALID_POINTER_READ code. Thinking it was a potential memory issue with my VRAM, as the OSD from Afterburner showed no indication of system memory issues, I lowered the graphics settings down to free up more VRAM but the issue is still occurring and it has since gone back to restarting the PC when crashing.

I have also performed Windows Memory Diagnostic, ran it twice and that has shown no issues, as well as no issues with any other games I have tested, being Cyberpunk 2077, Red Dead Redemption 2, and Ready or Not.

I also had crashes (before i got false banned) and for me the cause was XMP profile on RAM on BIOS. I have same RAM as you. Try disable XMP profile and maybe it will help.

I can confirm that I do not have XMP enabled in BIOS.

More things to add that I forgot to mention. I have done some googling and found that by lowering the max CPU power state to 98% and by disabling fullscreen optimizations that it would possibly stop the crashing/restarting pc, and it was then that the next 2 crashes that it would not restart the PC when it crashed, but it has since been restarting the PC.

Will do, will also follow the other posts and keep an eye on if a fix is found.

Update BIOS.  Fixed all the crashing issues I was having.

UPDATE: I was able to borrow a friends 9070 XT (Powercolor Reaper) to test with. After using DDU on the Nvidia app/drivers and installing the latest AMD Drivers I have been able to complete 5 full rounds of Conquest with no crashing/restarts so far. Given that I jumped from 10GB VRAM to 16GB, and with how my only crashdump file pointed to a memory issue, I am marking my issue as complete.
