RTSS breaks mouse input when you open chat window.

Hey guys,

I've been wanting to use RTSS frame capping feature as it has incredible low input latency compared to the game or driver.

It has an option to use Async, I found it works the best. RTSS recommends to use the Nvidia reflex option if your using DLSS but I find the ASync version works better even when using DLSS.

Is this the Async that BF6 uses? Perhaps that is why it runs frame caps so well with it.

I create a profile for BF6 and enable the frame cap all works perfectly until you hit enter to bring up the game chat and then it will stop your mouse from being able to select anything in game, you can move it around just can't do anything and you have to quit the game in steam or use ALT+F4.

This happens even if you have the MSI/RTSS overlay disabled.

The chat overlay must break the hook and lock out the mouse.

Any chance this could be fixed, I want to get the best input lag as possible, I just switched to AMD from Intel, with that it feels the same as the latency with my 10700k after disabling C-States in bios and disabling power saving features for the mouse in device manager and power settings for my 9800x3d.

  • Oh wow you guys fixed it. I did post about it in the main mouse input threat. Actually I forgot I messaged EA_Leeuw :) thanks

  • This screenshot was taken before I disabled the overlay (On screen display support), the bug happens with it on or off.
