Secure boot requirement should be removed

Long story short:

To run BF6, Secure Boot must be enabled > which requires switching BIOS settings to UEFI mode > which means converting the boot drive from MBR to GPT > which results in wiping all data on the drive.
In my case, that’s the system drive where all my programs are installed.

I’m not going through all that just to play one game (just like thousands of other players). Who thought this was a good idea?

Please, EA hire someone who actually understands cybersecurity and can assemble a team capable of developing a proper anticheat for a video game.
I wouldn’t mind an anticheat that monitors game files or API connections related to the game, but not like this.

  • captainAKAcapt converting from MBR to GPT doesn't require wiping the existing data on the storage drive.

I would backup all data before converting the storage drive from MBR to GPT just in case something catastrophic happens during the conversion process.

The MBR to GPT conversion steps are under section 'Check if your Windows disk is MBR or GPT' in EA's secure boot guide. I recommend reading the entire guide and backing up your data before proceeding.

It also requires tpm 2 which my mobo doesn't have. To much hassle for a simple game.

    Thanks for suggestion though.
