Settings reset every time i open up BF6

This is highly annoying. Every single time I open up BF6 (steam) my settings have to be reset and reconfigured and all of the notifications in the game appear above the various game modes. Via windows security: I have allowed for exclusions, managed my controlled folder access, ran BF6 as an administrator... and every other "this will help fix" and nothing happens. Had I have known this would be an issue I would be asking for a refund. It is truly ridiculous to have to spend 5-10-mins readjusting settings each time I open the game up and I see hundreds of others have this problem too; and of course, there is no permanent fix.
