Shaders bug causes big FPS loss

I have rather annoying bug. So every time after starting my pc and opening the game first time in a day i will get super low fps 30 or so in-menu and in the game. I'm sure quick shaders download while starting the game are causing it. So i have found a fix for it, everyday i need to reinstall Nvidia drivers to get game start to download new shaders fully again and then i'm getting over 200+ FPS and everything works smoothly. After that i can close the game and open it no matter how many times everything is perfect, until next day when i open my pc again the problem starts all over again and need to reinstall nvidia drivers to get full shaders download. Wish there would be option in settings that you could redownload shaders in-game so you don't need to reinstall whole drivers everytime. At the launch of the bf6 i did not have that issue, it came only after first updates or something like that.

Every time you update the drivers you WILL need to cache up all the maps again by playing them. As such changing driver will keep dropping your FPS for a time.

Beta BF6 had the same few maps, so after a while you cached them up with repetitive playing.

I don't understand you. What sense does that make? I should have full fps even in the menu while starting the game.

  • Hartwalll I'm trying to imagine what could cause this bug. Maybe the computer is going to sleep instead of shut down and it's causing this bug.

Next time you get the bug try restarting the PC from the Start Menu and see if that fixes it.
