Unable to connect to EA servers on BF6 using a PS5

I have issues connecting to BF6 EA servers, I’ve checked my WiFi and it’s great, works just fine with other video games. What could I do to fix this ?

The video game had worked just fine yesterday and earlier today but once I accepted a buddy’s game invite mid game, it didn’t automatically take me to his lobby(honestly not sure if it was supposed to but I expected it, not sure if that’s an issue), I was still playing that current game with no issues. I left the game and I was in his lobby but that’s when the issues started. I was scrolling thru my classes when I told him to start the game on Conquest. He told me that he was already in the game and that so was I but I told him that I was still in lobby strolling thru my classes and after that I wasn’t able to start any of of the different BF6 multiplayer games. I left my friend’s party and tried to start a game by myself and it would simply start its counting and once it hit about 20 seconds it would stop the counting and ask me to ‘Ready’ up again .

Not sure if it matters to add this but my friend who sent the invite was on a PC

In attempt to fix the issue:

  • I closed to the BF6 App & restarted it. After restarting the game, it wouldn’t allow me to connect to EA servers .
  • changed my WiFi to an WiFi extender that is closer to me. Solid WIFI
  • I’ve also reset my router

I just deleted the entire game so that I can redownload it.

  • UPDATE No fix

Now I would like to ask for assistance

Later that night, after giving it some time I was able to get game back online every single time. There is still an issue with the game but I got a way around it. Every time I turn on my PS5 & have the BF 6 application it still gives me a error while attempting to load into the servers but I simply close the application every time, relaunch it and it works with no issue following that. I just have to do that every single time I get back onto the game. Good luck guys I hope this helps someone

  • Also guys , I’m sure BF6 is working on all platforms but it’s a new game so you must expect bugs. Don’t just put BF6 to the side if you can’t play it, try the simple things like:

    • Verify your WiFi connection/speed
    • Close the application & reopen it
    • Shut your game completely off
    • I’m not very technical with the PS5 but make sure you only have 1 application open
    • Last but not least, Ensure you have all BF6 downloads downloaded, if you’re unsure, delete the game and try it again.

If I was able to get this game to work then I’m sure you guys can too. I highly doubt your location would be the issue of your video game to not start up.

    GOODLUCK

I found my issue ! turned out to be my router ! I tried creating a DHCP reservation for ps5  ,then created a DMZ for that IP ,nothing worked . Swapped out my Linksys  MR 7500 for an eero router and boom , EA works now ,rewards started popping up all over the place and con use r2 button in game now . I assume Firewall /Nat issue caused my issue . Haven’t been bother to try port forward necessary ports to station to get this working on the Linksys . To add uPNP is enabled but I assume it was the issue . Also be wary using a router/modem then connecting another router to that (double NAT) . Hope that helps
