i moved to wales 3 weeks ago from australia yesterday i downloaded battlefield and started playing got into a good old game of conquest and as soon as i spawn im getting 300-1500 ping it says on the top left i check the leaderboard and it says im getting 29 which is what my internet provider said i should be getting in my area I've seen a couple of people on reddit have the same issue after the 14th of april update is there any way to fix it
Were you using the same PC/console? Or even the same modem/router? That you had in Australia.
You might need to reset the network connections and flush DNS.
The game servers run off amazon AWS spinup and should match you to one in Europe automatically.
All that stuff is irrelevant for this issue I did some more digging and figured out the problem I turned on network graphs in game and found that the delay is mixed of 3 numbers ping tn and something else and I saw my ping was 30 something else was 20 and my tn was changing from anywhere from 200-1400 which tn is basically trying to smooth out the frames giving me some kind of slow motion affect now for fixing it for me it was impossible but if someone else sees this the fix is most likely your CPU is being overworked for me I was using to much vram so they cut some of my CPU power making the bottleneck which made tn numbers go up as my CPU didn't have enough power to do its job on generating the tn but my current GPU has a terrible about of vram so I couldn't fix it
