Unable to Launch Battlefield 6 Through Steam

hey salmon, were all waiting mr.community manager. ALL OF US HAVE THE SAME ISSUE and we ALL PAID A TRIPLE A GAME STUDIO 70-80 DOLLARS TO PLAY IT. they launched an update and now YOU WANT ME someone who is NOT TECH SAVVY to dig around p/c files THAT I DONT EVEN UNDERSTAND THE NAMES OF or the things they do, and you want me to mess with stuff that could break my p/c? 

No, send out an update to fix the issue YOU PEOPLE CREATED. dont give me some stupid pathway to jerry rig some sort of bs pathway TO MAYBE get the game running. 

If this is not fixed i will be asking for a refund, and i will be taking it through steam support. 

This is non-sense and it will work because YOU BROKE YOUR GAME. Marathon, Concord, and ANTHEM all proved this theory correct.

So are we just screwed when it comes to battlefield? Do you expect me to dig through and find my own way after I PAID YOU ALL FOR A SERVICE you are not providing? 

Granted not you personally, but you get the flakk for being an EA representative

Hi EA team and fellow players,

just wanted to drop by and express my gratitude for today’s EA App update. It’s truly impressive how effectively it manages to make Battlefield 6 completely unplayable.

After multiple reinstallations, cache wipes, and manually removing every trace of EA AntiCheat, the EA App still insists on delivering nothing but archaeological artifacts: – files from June 10th, 2026 – or, if it’s feeling extra nostalgic, even from January 26th, 2026

I didn’t know the EA App now supports time travel. Too bad it can’t find a single working, signed EAAntiCheat.sys along the way.

The installer itself is from June 23rd, 2026, but it apparently pulls its payload from a CDN graveyard that only serves outdated builds. Secure Boot says “nope”, Battlefield says “goodbye”, and the player says “seriously?”.

And honestly: There are plenty of players who don’t want to dig around in their PC systems just to make a game run that they paid money for. One would expect a AAA title to launch without BIOS acrobatics, driver voodoo, or Windows exorcism.

Maybe one day you’ll upload the correct files to your servers again. Until then, BF6 will remain a very pretty menu simulator for many of us.

Hi, I've tried every single step given here and more steps I've found in other forum posts, nothing works and I can't play the game, everything was working fine yesterday the only change was updating windows to version 25H2 but it doesn't make sense that it would be the cause of the issue when most of my friends are playing the game on that version.

EA_Salmon​ I've got this problem too, none of these steps fixed it for me, I've tried posting the DXDiag + other info but the post/thread got marked as spam.

I've been back & forth with EA support and they sent me here because none of what they suggested fixed the issue.

I am not tech savvy, and all of the sudden i am having these issue. i have already restart my PC, turned it on and off, re-installed the game after un-installing it, verified the files before and after. 

So, ive checked and my p/c hasnt logged any sort of updates, i have no overlays running because i dont use any, ive ran the installer but when i go to install it i cant seem to find the game files to give it an exception or even to "use the exact file path". 

So.... this is kind of dumb. I get that if i were more tech savvy this might be simple, but i shouldnt even HAVE to deal with this. it should be enough that i paid 70 if not 80$ to play this game. Its silly to me that were struggling to keep a player base, meanwhile we have updates that completely boot people off the game until they get tech support involved? im half tempted just to delete the game and move on truly.

Thanks! I verified the game files and added some antivirus exclusions, and the game seems to be launching properly now.

Not sure which change actually fixed it, but thanks for the assistance!
