Unable to Launch Battlefield 6 Through Steam
I'm experiencing an issue launching Battlefield 6 through Steam and would appreciate any help.
When I click "Play" in Steam, the game starts loading and the Anti-Cheat window appears as expected. Steam also shows that the game is running. However, once the Anti-Cheat finishes loading, the game never launches and Steam switches back to showing the "Play" button, as if the game has closed itself.
Has anyone else experienced this problem, or is there anything else I can try? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
Thanks for the effort you've already put into troubleshooting this issue.
If you don't mind, you may want to try the following steps as well, as they have helped some players in similar situations:
- Disable any overlays, monitoring tools, or software that injects into games.
- Steam Overlay, EA Overlay, Discord Overlay, NVIDIA Overlay, RTSS/MSI Afterburner, recording software, macro tools, etc.
- Repair or reinstall EA AntiCheat.
- Navigate to your game installation folder and look for either EasyAntiCheat_EOS_Setup.exe or EasyAntiCheat_Setup.exe (the file name may vary).
- Run it and select Battlefield 6, then choose "Repair". If the Repair option is unavailable, try uninstalling and reinstalling EA AntiCheat.
- Run Steam and the game as Administrator.
- Right-click Steam and select "Run as administrator".
- You can also try launching the game's executable with administrator privileges.
- Verify the game files.
- Steam → Properties → Installed Files → Verify integrity of game files.
- Even if you've reinstalled the game, it's worth running this check.
- Add the game folder and AntiCheat-related folders to your antivirus/Windows Security exclusions.
- In some cases, real-time protection may interfere with AntiCheat components.
- Check whether Secure Boot is enabled in your system BIOS.
Please let us know if any of these steps make a difference. Once you're back at your PC, a DxDiag report would also be helpful for further troubleshooting.
