Hi, I was trying to join a party with some friends and whenever I joined the party I couldn't hear them and they couldn't hear me. I went though settings to the sound tab and made sure everything was correct and it was and it still didn't work. I went onto the PS5 general settings and those were right and it still doesn't work. The mic and headset are good, I checked, but battlefield 6 has a voice chat problem bug somewhere.
Had the same issue ps5/pc we fixed it by changing audio setting on the pc. Accessibility/chat/convert incoming.
I'm still in the dark. Getting a pal, who's more tech savvy than me, to come over and us tinker with it. If we figure it out, I'll post what we did. If you hear nothing, I've thrown my whole setup away.
Okay, so, my pal came over. He thought it might be a driver issue so we plugged my (wired) headset into the laptop to see if it updated. It didn't update.. but at the same time, he plugged his headset into he usb at the back of the ps5.
We didn't change any settings, and didn't do anything else, but, for now, it seems to have jumpstarted the system to recognise my headset.
I don't know if any of this helps, but if you have another headset, or a close (proximity) friend that can plug theirs into yours, it might just work. I'll post again if it drops off.
So I bought a 70 dollar game and EA can't be bothered to fix their software? This is BS, I'm returning it!
I am having the same issues on Xbox, tried all the settings. voice chat works in xbox party or discord and other chat games. I even reinstalled the game.
If anyone else stumbles onto this didn't exactly fix it for me. The VOIP debug tool said it was reading my PTT button (Caps Lock), but I had no icon on the right side saying I was talking. I unbound my PTT button and rebound it to the same thing and is working fine now despite it saying I was pressing the button
I live battlefield but it’s no fun and extremely difficult playing with chat had to switch back to call of duty
