The audio is completely broken now. I have weird muted super squashed audio and an odd swirly noise all the time. And now zero footsteps! I mean wtaf. Hit reg is no better so that was a lie. And a weird new game mode where you freeze and dont regen unless you stand next to a tramp bin. great.
I'm having the exact same issue. It's like I can hear the weird background audio/music from the spawn screen but any in-game sound effects are at 10% of what they previously were. I originally didn't think I could hear ANY sound effects while playing in game, but after cranking up all volume levels in the settings, I can hear SOMETHING...just at 10% of the previous volume.
I was using Airpods when I played previously, but I've tried wired earbuds and I'm still getting the same result. Changing the audio settings in game doesn't help as sound effects volume is at 100% already (and master volume is at 75, which is quite loud for the nonsense I can hear. I'm now trying to change various Windows sound settings but that's not helping either. This really sucks, especially since I know EA won't fix this issue for weeks, if at all...
