59.94hz Realy?

WTF is this?

Who can tall me wtf is this? 59.94Hz? Wat!?

Spoiler
Why should I suffer with all this garbage? Bought two games titanfall 2 and BF1. Both games have a bunch of bugs which is impossible to play. Nothing is fixed. This is the last games that I bought in ORIGIN. I NEVER buy anything there anymore. I'm tired of this *. In the STEAM such simple problems are always solved. The ORIGIN does not allow the normal conversation with the developers. I have 818 games in Steam. And now I can say with confidence that the 0 in the ORIGIN. Once played enough in this sucks, I'm selling this account. Hello torrent version of Mass Effect.

  • Hi @Psy_pmP and welcome to Answers HQ - a place where gamers help fellow gamers!

    You are mad that BF1 precisely shows you your monitors refresh rate instead of rounding up like most other applications?

    To me that seems rather silly, especially since it has nothing to do with Origin but ok - of if wanna be mad go ahead.

    I have heard of this issue before in GTA5 as well I think. Doing a quick Google search it happens to some people in all kind of games but couldn't find a universal reason for the phenomenon. Setting the game to Borderless should be good workaround. You might also be able to set the refreshrate manually in the settings file PROFSAVE_profile in C:\Users\YOURWINDOWSUSERNAME\Documents\Battlefield 1\settings

    thx. it's helped

  • @Psy_pmP

    Im sorry, but are you really complaining about .06Hz?  .06?  That issue is not related to the game.  That is your monitor's TRUE refresh rate, and BF1 is just good enough to show your monitors EXACT refresh rate, and not round up like other games.  When I play GTA V thru STEAM it shows me the same thing, 59.96.  So is that Steam's fault?  No.

    PS.  In regards to your statement about selling your account, this is against the Terms of Service and the account will be banned.

    what a load of nonsense, the game is bugged & i have tested different PCs playing BF1 on the same monitor & some get 60hz while others get 59.94hz, changing videocards had no effect on the outcome either, which leads me to believe BF1 just doesnt get along with certain builds

    @Lucas80

    Do you actually have any issues related to the game showing you the number 59.94 instead of 60 or are you resurrecting a thread from 2016 just for the sake of it?

    lol salty much, why dont you try actually helping instead of feeding ppl BS

    ok so i think i have a solution, i changed the refresh rate in the "PROFSAVE_profile" file in "Documents\Battlefield 1\settings" but as people have reported this doesnt really work as the second you go to settings it reverts back

    so out of frustration i uninstalled BF1 then reinstalled it & low & behold my game now correctly detects my refresh rate as 60.00hz

    my guess is that after uninstalling the game, my edited "PROFSAVE_profile" file wasnt removed from Documents & Origin reinstalled over the top of it (as my settings were all still setup)
