Account

Ok so i had an account but the email on it got deactivated and I was wondering could i get that account a different email address

  • @trippmassey hi please try follow this steps:

How to change your ID and account information

You can edit your ID (username), email address, first and last name, or date of birth to keep your account information up to date.

Edit your information in the Origin client

To change account details in the Origin client:

    1. Launch the Origin client and log in.
    2. Click your username and then click Edit My Profile under the space for your avatar image.
    3. Click Edit beside "Basic Information."
    4. Answer your security question or enter your Login Verification code to confirm your identity.
    5. You can edit your name, username/Origin ID, email address, or date of birth.

Note: If you use the same ID for EA's forums, changing it may affect elements of your forum identity, including post count, standing, and permissions. You may also need to log out of the forums and back in, if you were signed in while editing your ID.

    Edit your information on ea.com

To change account details on ea.com:

    1. Go to ea.com and log in.
    2. Click your username, then My Account.
    3. Select the About Me tab.
    4. Click Edit beside "Basic Information."
    5. Answer your security question or enter your Login Verification code to confirm your identity.
    6. You can edit your name, username/ID, email address, or date of birth.

Note: If you use the same ID for EA's forums, changing it may affect elements of your forum identity, including post count, standing, and permissions. You may also need to log out of the forums and back in, if you were signed in while editing your ID.

Can I link or merge two or more EA Accounts together?

    Collapse

Merging two or more EA Accounts together is called a Persona Transfer.

Persona Transfers can cause damage to all accounts being linked or merged and risk creating more problems due to a number of factors.

"Linking" or "merging" accounts does not mean that all of your content will be in one place. In many cases, all data becomes lost during a transfer.

If you're thinking of requesting a Persona Transfer, we recommend familiarizing yourself with the technical risks first.

Add a Secondary Email to your EA Account

    Collapse

A secondary email helps you reset your password if you’re locked out of your EA Account and primary email address.

    1. Find the Secondary Email section of your EA Account Security tab
    2. Click Add Secondary Email.
    3. Enter an email address different from the one registered to your EA Account.
    4. Log in to that email address and find the security code email sent from EA.
    5. Enter your security code in the EA Account settings verification window.

Once set up, your secondary email will receive the same password reset instructions and confirmations when using Forgot Your Password? as your primary email address.

    Linking accounts and "persona transfers"

    Wed, 03 February 2016 - 3:32pm CET by Lauren M

If you're an EA player with multiple EA Accounts and a number of games across all of them and have ever wanted to get them all on one account we are occasionally able to help you with the incredibly risky process we call a Persona Transfer.

Persona Transfers both cause massive damage to all accounts being linked or merged, and run the risk of involving even more problems and complications due to a number of factors.

    • "Linking" or "merging" accounts does not mean in the end all of your content will be in one place.
      • In fact, most, if not all of your data will become lost during a transfer.

If you're thinking of requesting a Persona Transfer, please be aware of the technical risks involved:

    • You will lose your game status and progress on all of your accounts and across all platforms--from your EA Account, to consoles, PC, mobile, and online.
      • This includes any Ultimate Team data, Battlefield Soldiers, items purchased or earned in your games, and other content that you have associated with one or both accounts.
    • Persona Transfers are irreversible.
      • Our systems will unfortunately not record content-lost during the account merger process
        • This makes any item or content recovery impossible and refunds unavailable.

In addition to these risks, Persona Transfers also follow these restrictions:

    • Players must request a Persona Transfer from an EA Help advisor for it to be executed.
      • Before an advisor can be help with your transfer, all other steps must be attempted to help first help solve your issue.
    • Persona Transfers require help from a special team within EA Help only available from Monday through Saturday, 2:00AM to 10:00PM PDT.
    • Personas are not to be transferred if one of the accounts has an account, persona, or entitlement banned, or if either account is underage.

If you have game data on your multiple accounts, some specific-game accounts can break completely following a Persona Transfer.

    These games and services include:

    • Battlefield titles
    • Crysis titles
    • Dragon Age titles
    • FIFA titles
    • Madden titles
    • Mass Effect 3
    • NCAA titles
    • Need for Speed titles
    • NHL titles
    • Play4Free title
      • Such as Need For Speed: World, Battlefield: Heroes, etc.
      • Play4Free titles will break permanently and will not be transferred.
    • Spore titles
    • SSX titles
    • Star Wars: The Old Republic
      • SWTOR accounts will break permanently and will not be transferred under any circumstances.
    • The Sims 3 and expansions
      • The Sims 3 Store content will break permanently and will not be transferred under any circumstances.
    • Ultimate Teams
      • Such as FIFA Ultimate Team, Madden Ultimate Team, etc.
