Logged on this morning to find the game's online services totally broken and all my unlocks missing, I was worried that the shutdown was the cause of this. Probably means they won't fix it and have permanently s*** upon even more of their fanbase.
Hopefully I'm wrong and they will have some kind of loyalty and honour for the people who still absolutely love BF4 and the tight microcosm of its community. It's the best example of a modern Battlefield game to date and if people can still enjoy it, please just let them. All of the servers are hosted independently, all we need are the DLC items that we have paid for and worked hard to unlock, surely that is not too much to ask.
Crossing the fingers for that.
I guess it will take some days, but I believe they will fix it in the end.
People I know just bought BF4 Premium recently and DLCs maps are part of it; it cannot be that EA just sells something knowing that it will be retired after few weeks.
I am sure EA management doesn't want to take another hit from an angry fanbase.
Remember the line for the BFV "If you don't like it, don't buy it", and what happened next?
Well, I believe they still remember that ; -) In around 2 month or so. EA stock sinked from 120 USD to 80 USD.
Nowadays the company is recovering and doing very well, especially because they announced the new BF is in work -and it will be back to successful BF4 style, gameplay and glory.

That is why I believe they will fix it guys, I don't know it for sure, but I have still faith in EA to take the right decisions.
Just let's give them still few days ;-)
Possibly next weekend we'll play again with DLCs and all other extensions.
