I would like to be able to disable username data on HUD and killcam both team mates and enemies. I would like to play as anonymous soldier on the field and not seeing others online ID nicknames while playing. Those break the immersion feeling. Turning off HUD entirely is completely different thing which I am not asking for.
Would other players still be able to see your nickname in the HUD and killcam?
Yes. This feature was partly present in Battlefield where HUD info could be tuned down.
I think I understand what you're requesting. Which is the ability to adjust the opacity of player names above soldiers.
Here are screenshots of BF4 options menu. Similar opacity feature for player names + ability to take away killcam and score & kill log names or change opacity to 0 in there too. I want more anonymous soldier experience where other players' user ID's don't distract me. Mid-game scoreboard and end of round scoreboard untouched.
