"An unknown error occurred. Error code: 1" Since Dec. 1, 2023

So I want to get the peacekeeper secret revolver and obviously I need an empty server to get the morse codes, but every single conquest server I try to join with 0/64 players gives me the same error ...

    Good news, our teams found out what was causing the problem over the weekend. They fixed it earlier today, and we can't see the problem anymore. So, we're treating this as sorted and will be closing this thread soon.

Can't join servers, reports "Error code 1 Failed to join the session". Server browser lists just 4 full servers.

Since a few weeks I am unable to enter most servers due to the game giving me an Error Code 1: Failed to join the session. This happens both when I attempt to join via the server browser or via matchmaking.

Also the server browser is only showing 4 servers (always full with large queues when I checked) even though I filter only on game mode Operations, region Europe and Hiding empty servers. Oddly when I refresh the server browser a lot, eventually it will show one additional server that is being populated (having more than a few players in them), but when I join that one it gives me again Error Code 1.

It seems I can join the mentioned 4 servers (after being queue for a long time).
Matchmaking usually also gives Error Code 1 but sometimes it will put me in a server in the USA (I am region europe).

Naturally I first attempted to fix it before reaching out here. What I have tried so far:

But nothing has changed the situation.
I am 100% confident there are more than those 4 servers, which is being supported by server browser sometimes suddenly showing a server with e.g. 8 players, which I can't join and is gone with next refresh. I fear there is somehow something wrong with my account or something

Any help or suggestion is greatly appreciated. This is my nr1 favorite game shortly after it came out. I really want to get back in there.

    I hate modern day Google. That would have been a useful search result, but I'm not getting it.

    Anyway... maybe.
    Why is the server browser so erratic and it sometimes shows me a populating server (which in turn I cannot join).
    Well, guess it doesn't matter and its just part of the bug DICE introduced.

    Sure takes them long enough to fix it though.

    Yeah, the serverbrowser can be a bit buggy but at least there is one in BF1 :D

    If there are 10 players in queue for a server, you cannot join the queue and will receive a message like "Server is full". I would suggest you try the quickjoin function for the gamemode you wanne play to find a server or until EA/DICE fix the bug go to US East servers.

    @Smoker_Sally Yeah that can work but most of the time you'll end up with the same code.
    I wonder if there is gonna players enough after the fix to fill up the empty servers ☹️
