Steam BF1 issue

Hello!

I just recently bought Battlefield 1 for the first time and was ecstatic to play it. I found the revolution edition on Steam for only $2. HOWEVER, after downloading it and trying about every fix I've seen people put out, I cannot get it to work. I've even deleted it all then did a clean install, and ensured my drivers were updated, it still hasn't worked. Here is the loop I'm stuck in:

1. I attempt to start the game
2. It begins to launch, then pulls up a prompt and has me (re)install the EA App and EA Anti-Cheat
3. It will pull up the EA App, which will say preparing game
4. That just closes, not opening the game
5. Steam just validates the files

I genuinely don't know what to do. If anyone has any and all help, I would be extremely grateful.
