The thing that bothers me is that a DICE dev doesen't follow the RoC for his own game.. It is kinda confusing for the casual server admin to see that..
But basicly, if a server have the "custom rules apply" symbol on, then the admins on that server can do what ever they want?
Actually, when you go to the symbol is says: "Setup your own rules, like knife-only!". So knife-only on a ranked server (aslong as the custom rules apply symbol is on) is allowed?
Exactly Schvvartz! I think if the custom server symbol is applied (or any change in the core game dynamics like no javelin etc) the server should automatically revert to unranked status. I think this would solve a lot of the questions and problems with this issue. I think a server admin UI where you could check allowed weapons, game modes, etc would further this goal and the server would automatically be unranked if certain options are checked such as weapon limitations.
