Battlefeild 3 digital DL XBOX 360 multiplayer online never loads

Question

Downloaded BF3 from XBOX LIVE on my 360. Campaign works fine seems every thing else is functioning ok except multiplayer. When I choose it the game freezes and an error pops up showing " disconnected from XBOX LVE ". So I have to restart the game at which point it then shows "Reconnected to XBOX LIVE". I have also downloaded BF2BC and everything works great. Please help!

@HaloDark13  Can you check the store and see if there's a free online pass? The online pass is required to play Multiplayer and a free version was listed several years ago.
