battlefield 1 cant click anything at menu (gamebreaking)

so about 3 months ago my game stopped working, i used to be able to load battlefield 1, get to the menu, and play, but now when i load it i can see my mouse cursor and when i click on anything it doe...

Plug a controller of some kind into your computer (I used DS4 Windows). I had the same problem... I reinstalled the game, ran it in compatibility ect. nothing worked but I ran into an old post with the same problem on other BF games and seen an answer to just plug in a controller. Thus I did and could navigate the menu instantly and then my mouse worked! So that's the best I can tell you good luck!
