Multiplayer in Trial Version now works for me, after the patch
i have the same problem and im on the origin access trial also.
10 Hour Trial Period Breakdown
1 hour actually playing game.
3 hours moving in and out of menus due to constant game crashing.
6 hours remaining that will go wasted when O.A. period ends.
Yeah this one is too major and has been open for over a week to just be a typical bug. IMO it's pretty clear the mp for the trial version was simply disabled the hard and quick way of just forcing BF1 to close if you try to load a mp map. Repairing, disabling dx12, picking maps with plenty of open slots, choosing every different type of mp mode...none of those fix it. Single player works just fine, and many other posters have confirmed it's fixed by buying the full version.
It's a very odd approach rather than just having a pop-up screen say mp is disabled in the trial. I was specifically trying it to gauge how bad aimbot/wallhackers are in BF1, and now since mp is disabled I can't. That was a pre-req for me buying it on PC since in most PC fps the hackers are plentiful and game breaking. And since I can't possibly test that now I will have to put purchasing it on-hold until I can.
