Battlefield 1 Cross-Console Idea

You know, I have friends who play Battlefield 1, but unfortunately I am on Ps4 and they are on PC. Cross console would be a fun edition, but I know how PC players would have huge advantages. I think an easy way to solve this would be to allow console players to join their friends (or any server) on PC, but the PC players wouldn't be allowed to join the console-players. So if friends wanted to play together on different consoles they could, and if a console player wants the challenge, they can go up against PC players. Does anyone have any ideas to improve this, maybe if it's good enough it could actually happen.
