Yes, it´s a known issue for a couple of days and there have been several discussions about it.😉
EA is working on it, meanwhile we´ll have to customize our soldier on a server.
They´ll solve it 🤞
I have the same issue.
I uninstalled Battlefield 1 a long time ago and came back today to find all of my classes cannot be customized and they have been all set to zero. Thankfully, I was able to play and discover all I had unlocked all that time ago was still there and I was able to customize during the match.
Its a shame because I leveled up nearly seven times and ranked up my Scout class significantly.

Don't worry, you haven't lost any progress or anything.
This is a known issue, and they are currently working on it.
I apologize for any frustration this is causing.
At this time, there isn't an ETA as to when the fix for this will be coming.
