Battlefield 1 mouse binding issues

So, I got a new mouse, a FinalMouse to be specific, which has no software that allows for button aliasing, and when I go to bind Spot/Commorose to the back thumb button, it binds, but in game, I hold the button down and the commorose appears and then disappears half a second later. This also happens in BF4. All of my other bindings work, such as reload to the forward thumb button, and grenade to middle mouse button. This is not a mouse issue, as in other games like CSGO, pressing and holding the thumb buttons for a command that makes use of a press and hold, work 100% of the time.

  • @Jotunn,

So, it looks like Non-Driver Mice are not optimized with Battlefield 1, which could be why you're experiencing these issues.

Are you able to switch back to the Logitech G, or another mouse that you have available?

  • Hey @Jotunn,

Sorry to hear about these Mouse issues you're experiencing.

Have you tried resetting your keybindings, and re-assigning them for your mouse?

Also, have you tried repairing the game files in Origin?

Give this a try, and let us know if you still need assistance.

    Thanks 🙂

Tried both methods in both games, no luck.

I should also mention that with Spot/Commorose bound to both Q and the thumb button, I can spot with the thumb button, but not open and use the commorose.

Have you experienced this issue before with any other mouse you've used? Or have you only used the FinalMouse?

I thought resetting and re-mapping might do the trick.

I never ran into the issue prior due to using Logitech G series mice which have software that lets you alias keyboard keys to mouse buttons without modifying in-game keybindings; the FinalMouse is the first mouse I have used that has had this issue. I tested the problem again with another mouse that has no dedicated software and the issue persists.

I can switch back to my G403, but one of the two functions in this scenario works, which is spotting, so this amounts to a minor inconvenience at best. I felt like it was worth asking about, and it would be a boon to myself and others using mice like this one if the next battlefield installment had greater compatibility for driverless mice, if possible.
