Battlefield 1 windows 10 keeps crashing "battlefield 1 has stopped working"

hello. My name is Daniel. I have a problem with battlefield 1 running on windows 10. Every time I launch the game. shortly after maybe 5 minutes the game will crash and an error comes up simply stating battlefield 1 has stopped working. I have tried messing around with all sorts of combinations of setting to no avail. I would greatly appreciate it if someone has a fix so I can play the game. I cant even get past the first mission mud and blood. I took a screen shot of the error log and will post it in here as well. thank you.

my system specs: windows 10 latest build and updates

                             intel I7 3770k

                             16gb ddr3

                              gtx 1080

                             Samsung UHD590 4k monitor

                              240gb sata 6 SSD

                              1tb sata 6 HD

  • I'm not to sure @Decky696969,
Like I said, I bought the game 2 weeks ago which I'm guessing was after the latest BF1 update? Mine constantly crashed every 5 to 10 minutes of game play so maybe it's linked to the update?

Do you play any other demanding games other than BF1? If so, are they crashing too? If not, I don't think it would be a overheating/hardware issue.

It's odd that the Windows 10 update has fixed it for me but there might have been improvements to better support my hardware (i haven't read the release notes), but for whatever reason it seems to work now.

Give it a go :-) no harm done if it doesn't work and at least your O/S is up to date.

  • OMG, Windows Update installed the two updates (KB4103721, KB4284835) again and the problem occurs again.
    What can I do?

"problem solved, DELETE battlefield 1 folder from your documents folder"
Worked, but since today this doesn't help any more. It keeps crashing back to desktop...

    This is so anoing...

  • I bought the game 2 month ago and i'm having exactly the same issue since day one.

I already did the following steps.

    1. Clear all the Origin cache

    2. Create another Admin account and open the game

    3. Open BF1 and Origin as an admin

    4. Update win 10 to 1803

    5. forward all the ports on my router

    6. Repair all the RegKeys with CCleaner

    7. Repair the game

    8. Reinstall the game

    9. install windows 10 from scratch

Nothing works, the last thing that i'm going to try before i'll give up is to update all the mobo drivers and update/flash the BIOS. If this is happening with BF1 honestly this discourage me for BFV.

    system:

    I7 8700k

    16 GB DDR4 3200 mhz

    Mobo Asus Prime Z370-A

    SSD samsung Evo 970 Nvme

    HDD Firecuda 2TB

    Zotac GTX 1080  Amp Ed.

Hello guys, later five days with crash, freeze in BFv, I check my Gpu (gtx 1060 6GB), drivers, I make all up dates from Windows and nothing. Yesterday I just think about my CPU (I7 7700) and my MB from As Rock Z270 Fatality K4, I make a up grade from my BIOS end later I make this my game stay normal, not more freeze with no msg, no crash. I fix my conflict with a Up Grade from my MB. Pls check this, course I think this crashes have some thing linked with the CPU. I hope help. And tnks for all comments from this group
