9 years agoBattlefield 1 Windows 10 vsync in FullScreen
Windows 10 with newest clean installed drivers xbox dvr off and vsync selected off in Nvidia control panel as well as in game settings but still being vsynced even in full screen mode. I'm using a laptop with Optimus (integrated and discrete gpu) and even in "exclusive full screen" with vsync forced off in both settings and Nvidia control I believe it is windows 10 that is still forcing vsync on.
It can easily be seen if you get the stutters and frame drops during intense moments. With vsync off we should get a consistent Fps albeit with a screen tear instead of a stutter or a frame drop but instead frames are dropping and stuttering occurs which is worse in my opinion. Hopefully there is a way to bypass the windows 10 gui control at least when we select full screen mode ..
So is there a workaround to give battlefield truly exclusive access to the display at least in full-screen mode so I can actually have vsync off? I never thought I would miss screen tearing, but I will take an occasional tear during intense moments when my gpu can't keep up over a stutter or fps drop any day!
Please help in providing a way to assure we can truly turn off vsync in game on Windows 10. Thanks for addressing this concern, the game is great!
