Battlefield 1 won't let me press 'X' at start screen PS4

I was playing BF1 on PS4 the other night, and it all started when I couldn't zoom or aim down the barrel.  I shut off PS4 and router.  After a bit started it back up and it worked for a bit, then it was permanently aiming down the barrel.  Did this all again, now once I start BF1 I get to the screen where it says press 'x' to begin.  It will not allow me to push x and go past that screen.  I am currently re-installing, however it has downloaded enough to start the application and it still will not let me get past the start screen.

Any help would be appreciated.

    Turned off my controller, then back on, worked fine! Hope it works for you!

    You need to delete the game off the ps4
    Turn off the ps4 and then turn it on
    Install the game now
    It worked for me

    Realy?!! I have the same prob I can t start the game as even if I press x nothing happen that so f.. frustrating I have to reinstall all the game that is even more frustrating pffff

    I have two controllers I ve switch them when the game was blocked and it s work now !!

    My issue was with BF1 servers. Called tech support and they stated there was something wrong with my connection to the server. They reset something on their end and I've had no problems since.

    hi Guys,

    Had the same problem, Battlefield won't let me press X at start screen on ps4.

    Restart game, close game, restart Ps4 won't work for me.

    I just started Battlefield again, it won't let me press X at strat screen again.

    so in that same screen i turned off my controler and turned it on again, and it was fixed.

    really strange, hope when u guys have the same problem, same solution will fix.

    Your game may have lost files, I suggest you re-install the game, or verify the game integrity. Through these methods you may be able to solve the problem.
