BATTLEFIELD 1942 FOR WINDOWS, ETAL

I have Battlefield 1942 and would like to purchase the the rest of the Battlefield series, hwoever I have a couple of questions I can't find answers to:

- Where can I find Battlefield 1943 to buy? I have looked, seen lots of posts on the game but to actually purchase it I'm confused,

- I'd like to know if the Battlefield series are playable in both offline and online mode. In 1942 it is, however no where under description or specs do the new Battlefield games state that they can be played single player offline against the computer,

- Last, I noticed a post that states that the Battlefield 1942 online gaming option has been discontinued, but can I still create my owner server setup and have my friend and I play against/with one another?

    many battlefield games are now dead but not bf1942  or bf2 see list below was a lot of work to find all that info

    now get idea  how ea works  and well  you never buy or get the full Battlefield series as  they cut away most of it

    if ax not made a new master server for bf1942  it be dead now  you still play bf1942 online today thanks to ax

    Thank you Emile,

    I tried a couple of the download links, including bf1942, but they are dead now.

    Really what I'm trying to find out is whether all the BF games can be played solo on my own computer....

    If they can I will buy them wherever I can find them.

    Do you know if all the BF games can be played solo on my own computer with multi-player option?

    also you can download bf2 for free from this site http://battlelog.co/downloads.php but you do need to register to see the link

    and battlefield is not known for it's single player so when ea shutdown the servers the game is dead unless!  there is a active community that wont let it die like bf1942 and bf2

    anyway the battlefield games i know that have a  single player campaign are

    battlefield bad company

    battlefield bad company 2

    battlefield 3

    battlefield 4

    battlefield hardline

    Thanks Emile,

    I'll give the download links another try, as well as look for purchasing the games you mentioned that have single player mode.
    My brother and I are actually thinking of setting up a server for friends to play together. Should be fun.

    I really appreciate your time in helping me out with this.
