I tried a couple of the download links, including bf1942, but they are dead now.
Really what I'm trying to find out is whether all the BF games can be played solo on my own computer....
If they can I will buy them wherever I can find them.
Do you know if all the BF games can be played solo on my own computer with multi-player option?

also you can download bf2 for free from this site http://battlelog.co/downloads.php but you do need to register to see the link
and battlefield is not known for it's single player so when ea shutdown the servers the game is dead unless! there is a active community that wont let it die like bf1942 and bf2

I'll give the download links another try, as well as look for purchasing the games you mentioned that have single player mode.
My brother and I are actually thinking of setting up a server for friends to play together. Should be fun.I really appreciate your time in helping me out with this.
